Therapy Services

Insight Psychology provides psychotherapy and psychological services for individuals (ages 16 and older), couples, and families in New York and New Jersey. People often begin this work when something feels persistently off balance or more difficult to manage than it once was. You may notice ongoing worry, disrupted sleep, irritability, emotional heaviness, or strain in relationships. At times the concern is clearly defined; at other times it is harder to name but still affects how you think, feel, and function. Services are structured, confidential, and grounded in careful assessment and evidence-based treatment, with the goal of building clarity, stability, and meaningful change.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy allows for focused exploration of your thoughts, emotions, and relational patterns. Some clients arrive feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or stress that feels constant and difficult to quiet. Others describe low motivation, loss of interest, self-criticism, or a sense of stagnation. At times, unresolved experiences or longstanding relational dynamics continue to influence present-day reactions. Treatment integrates evidence-based approaches with insight-oriented work. The goal is not only symptom relief, but increased self-awareness, stronger emotional regulation, and the ability to respond to challenges with greater steadiness and clarity.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy provides a structured setting to examine communication patterns, recurring conflict, emotional distance, or ruptures in trust. Many couples feel stuck in repetitive cycles that leave both partners feeling unheard or misunderstood. Sessions focus on identifying these patterns, increasing accountability, and developing practical tools that support more intentional and respectful engagement. The aim is to strengthen connection while fostering clearer communication and emotional attunement

Family Therapy

Family therapy offers an opportunity to explore roles, boundaries, and interaction styles that may be contributing to tension or misunderstanding. Families often seek support during transitions, periods of conflict, or when communication has become strained. Work focuses on increasing clarity, improving collaboration, and strengthening emotional connection within the family system.

Psychological Evaluations and Clinical Documentation

Insight Psychology also provides psychological evaluations and clinical documentation when clinically appropriate. Services may include diagnostic clarification, evaluations supporting academic or workplace accommodations, and documentation related to emotional support animals (ESA). All assessments and letters are based on comprehensive clinical evaluation and professional standards of care.
